    Unit Reward and Recognition Committees

    Colleagues do “a little something extra” to show off their morale-boosting ideas.

    “Good job” and “keep up the good work” are phrases you hear in any workplace. But our colleagues put forth an extra effort to create an improved work ethic that is contagious. Departments have recognized their team members with awards, contests, prizes and more. One unit recently was honored for its creative reward and recognition idea—the Sunshine Club, created to buy gifts and flowers for birthdays and other occasions.

    During Nurses Week, unit committees treat staff with pizza parties and spa days complete with manicures and massages. On holidays, they bring in home-made meals for those who have to work.
